Basil-Garlic Sauce Mix

Ingredients

  • 4 teaspoons dried basil leaves
  • 2 teaspoons vegan chicken-style seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons dried parsley flakes
  • 1 tablespoon white rice flour
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt optional

Instructions

  • Stir the basil, chicken-style seasoning, parsley, flour, garlic, and salt together in a small bowl.
  • Pour into a small resealable bag and seal. Label. Store in a cool, dry place for up to 6 months.

Notes

Variation:
Substitute unbleached all-purpose flour for the rice flour.
Gift-Giving Tip:
Take note of the pasta cooking time so you can include it in the directions.
How to Package Basil-Garlic Sauce Mix
  1. Place 8 ounces pasta in a clear flat-bottomed food-safe gift bag or a quart resealable
  2. Package the sauce mix in a small 3x3 inch resealable plastic bag or snack bag.
  3. Place the sauce mix on top of the pasta.
  4. Secure the bag with ribbon or raffia.
  5. Attach the directions.
